Good Side Effects of Acupuncture

Feeling the good side effects of Acupuncture

Good Side Effects of Acupuncture

Did you know that there are good side effects of Acupuncture? Many people who use acupuncture for pain relief, are amazed to find out how there are many other side effects from acupuncture. These 4 good side effects benefit your body in other ways and quite frankly are why people keep returning for treatments to help their bodies function better. The 4 good side effects are as follows:

Good Side Effects #1: Deep Relaxation:

One good side effect of acupuncture is that acupuncture releases endorphins which help flip the switch in your mid brain  to start releasing feel good substances called endorphins. Feeling calmer starts to occur after 15-minutes when your brain really starts to get the signaling from the acupuncture needles. Acupuncture needles signal the brain during the session sending messages to the brain to release these endorphins. Unlike a runner’s high or an intense workout high, which uses your most dominant part of the fight-or-flight nervous system, acupuncture can increase endorphins to such a high level, that you feel very relaxed and alert. Unlike a nap, which can leave you groggy or tired, or a workout which can help you feel great but “wired”  acupuncture gently “works out” the nervous system so you start to feel relaxed again, Treatments are cumulative and it can help keep you balanced from the day to day grind and stressors.

Good Side Effects #2 Better Digestion:

Good side effect #3  causes improved digestion. Acupuncture  increases blood flow to different areas including specific organs of the body. This also includes the stomach and pancreas. The intestinal tract is made up of smooth muscle tissue, which means just like your bicep muscles, you can get very tight and the absorption can be affected by poor diet, stress, lack of sleep. Indeed, many of the receptor sites for emotion are not only found in the brain but in the gut as well. Causing the body to get into a deep state of relaxation, will help the digestive system and elimination system to work well.

Good Side Effects #3 Improved Sleep:

Acupuncture’s good side effects also includes improving sleep. Acupuncture in line with treating the constant “fight-or-flight” response also improves sleep quality. For many getting a good night’s sleep can feel exhausting, when you feel that you are tossing and turning and wrestling with your pillows all night. Acupuncture can foster better sleep quality as the body returns back to normal from stress.Acupuncture also helped people who take sleeping aids. and they saw benefit from acupuncture as well.

Good Side Effects #4 Increased Energy:

Acupuncture’s fourth good side effect is increased energy. Acupuncture helps the body rest. However, we don’t really have enough room in our lives for adequate rest. Staying still and allowing the acupuncture needles to guide your hormones, endorphins, and blood flow, help to strengthen one’s energy. As your body gets used to relaxing, sleeping more, and feeling less stressed, the stressors on the body lose hold, and your body starts to make a rebound from the pressures of life, increasing your energy.

These good side effects of acupuncture, keep people coming back again and again because it is a drug free approach to getting rid of your problems naturally!
